Roderick McKenzie (1852-1934)

Roderick was born in Ross-shire, Scotland and was educated at Glasgow Academy. He came to New Zealand on 1869 and was a member of the Westpor Harbour Board, Nelson Harbour Board and Kumara Hospital Board. He was an engineer and bridge builder.

He was a Liberal Member of Parliament from 1893 to 1914 and a strong supporter of the Seddon administration.
