Anna MacKenzie

Anna MacKenzie who is a daughter of Jock and Sonia MacKenzie (both previous Lieutenants) grew up in Dartmoor Valley, Hawkes Bay. Anna is now one of New Zealand’s most respected Young Adult authors and writes contemporary, historic and speculative fiction for YA and adult audiences. Her nine titles have earned her seven CLNZ Notable Book Awards, an NZ Post Honour Award, Sir Julius Vogel Award and White Raven listing in Germany. Her latest novel, Evie’s War, is a poignant exploration of the role played by women, at home and on the Western Front, during WWI.  She is published by Penguin Random House.
